Mojo, a GPU-optimized programming language inspired by Python syntax, has been released as open source under Apache 2 license following its 1.0 release. The language has shifted from its original goal of being a Python superset to its own distinct language, with the team noting that AI-assisted coding tools can help migrate Python code to Mojo.
