AWS published a technical guide for building autonomous AI agents using OpenClaw that can transact payments through Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, integrated with the x402 protocol and bounded by human-approval guardrails. The solution enables agents to pay for access to paywalled APIs, MCP servers, and web content while maintaining spending controls, demonstrated on testnet using the aws-agents-pay plugin.
